Rep. Judy Chu donates $1 million dollars for "transit to trails" project
Funds will boost transportation access to the outdoors

On August 30, 2022, Rep. Judy Chu presented LA Nature For All with $1 million to support the creation of a public transportation option to reach the Angeles National Forest’s San Gabriel Mountains range.
The proposed “Mt. Wilson Express” route would start at Pasadena Memorial Park’s Gold Line Metro station and head into the Angeles National Forest’s San Gabriel Mountains and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. The goal of this shuttle system is to increase the surrounding communities' experiences in nature; support the growth of future environmental stewards; and reduce vehicle congestion, accidents and associated air pollution.
