President's budget gets plaudits for investments in public lands and waters

Today, the White House released President Biden’s proposed budget. The ambitious agenda looks to fund wide scale investments in education, transportation and tackling climate change.

Drew McConville, senior managing director of government relations for The Wilderness Society said:

“With his proposed budget, President Biden is highlighting the urgent need to invest in public lands and waters and to restore the integrity of a federal government eroded during the last administration. From building parks in communities with the greatest needs to supporting communities in the transition to clean energy, the president’s budget would harness the potential of our shared lands and waters to tackle the fundamental crises of climate change and  inequity. Now Congress must act.  By enacting this budget and passing the American Jobs Plan, Congress can put our communities to work restoring and protecting our lands, waters, and climate.”
