On April 8, 2021, we hosted a screening of the “In Our Nature: Youth Speak” film, which follows four young people in Tucson as they learn to connect with nature, public lands, and each other – all against the backdrop of social unrest and the pandemic. In partnership with Ironwood Tree Experience, an organization that works to connect young people to their communities through experiences in nature, the film highlights the passion of today’s youth and their desire to take action, both at home and on a national scale.
Following the film screening, film participants joined House Natural Resources Committee Chair Raúl Grijalva and Kevin Bonine, from University of Arizona’s Institute for Resilience, for a panel discussion.
