Phil joined The Wilderness Society as a Public Lands Fellow in the fall of 2014 after doing stewardship work with a land trust in Virginia and endangered species modeling with a small company in North Carolina.  At TWS, he provides GIS support for the land protection efforts of the BLM Action Center and the National Forest Action Center as the GIS Coordinator.

When not scouring the mapping world or venturing about outdoors, Phil enjoys reading nerdy science fiction, playing music poorly, and wondering at the mysteries of the universe.
