Miranda focuses on conservation funding. She primarily works on budget and appropriations to secure federal funding to advance organizational conservation and equity goals.

Prior to joining TWS, Miranda engaged in legislative and administrative advocacy on a variety of social change issues, ranging from reproductive justice to health care access. She also has a background in policy research and analysis, community outreach, and building inclusive strategic partnerships.

Miranda received a bachelor’s in Psychology and a dual master’s in Public Affairs and Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. In her downtime, Miranda is a french fry enthusiast, occasional indoor cyclist, and aspiring plant mom.
