Jenny joined The Wilderness Society in 2023. She serves as our Director of Equity & Learning. Jenny’s early work at Karen House, a collectively-run shelter in St. Louis for unhoused people where she spent over 20 years, gave her a deep passion for social change activism and education. She has more than two decades of experience in group facilitation, and has taught on a wide variety of equity topics including anti-racism institutional interventions, microaggressions, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and dismantling systemic oppression.
Jenny has created transformative anti-racism education opportunities with organizations at both a local and national level. As a Certified Diversity Facilitrainer (CDFT) through NCCJ St. Louis, she has focused on supporting equity leaders, connecting anti-oppression analysis with action, and building inclusive spaces. Jenny is a huge tennis nerd, amateur organic gardener, and lover of all things sci-fi. She lives near St. Louis with her partner, hilarious rescue dogs, and a variety of chickens and stray cats.
