Amelia serves as our Interim Senior Manager of Designation Campaigns. She joined The Wilderness Society in 2023 as our Conservation Campaigns Manager. In this role, Amelia works closely with local communities and coalition partners to identify opportunities to protect public lands through legislative and administrative conservation designations. She is passionate about conservation campaigns and movement-building strategies that lift up the needs, desires, and voices of local communities.
Amelia has a strong background working on place-based conservation and responsible energy development campaigns with a wide array of grassroots and grasstops stakeholders across the West.
She is a graduate of Colorado State University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources. Amelia lives in Lander, Wyoming, and spends her time outside of work exploring all the public lands the state has to offer, volunteering at her local library, or on the hunt for the best cortado in the west.
