Senate Republicans using Congressional Review Act to circumvent conservation
Today, following review of Senate Joint Resolutions 23 and 24, Lydia Weiss, Senior Director for Government Relations at The Wilderness Society said:
"The unprecedented efforts to exploit the Congressional Review Act to overturn conservation decisions grounded in science is backward and troubling. Instead of advancing anti-science efforts in the midst of a global biodiversity and climate crisis that will be vetoed and amount to political theater, these Members of Congress need to focus on addressing their manufactured crisis around the nation's debt ceiling and avoid the looming economic catastrophe."
