To expand access to parks nationwide, the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) Program funds green spaces in low-income, urban communities. While it has supported important projects throughout the country, the program can still reach its full potential — in the most recent years, millions of grant dollars have been left on the table. Since funding for ORLP is expected to increase in the coming years, the program can be an increasingly important resource for underserved communities.
This webinar on November 16, 2022, explored the successes of the ORLP Program and the opportunities to strengthen its impact. The discussion featured a panel of park advocates and agency representatives, and shared findings from our recent research.
It was hosted by The Wilderness Society and the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation.
