Nicole works on digital outreach and creating content for The Wilderness Society's website and social media accounts.
Before TWS, Nicole worked at the National Park Service Office of Communications, creating digital content, leading communications campaigns, managing websites and producing a new podcast series highlighting diverse youth at the NPS. Previously, Nicole spent three years at WFTV Eyewitness News in Orlando, Florida, as an associate producer and writer.
Nicole is originally from Merida, Venezuela, and is usually speaking and thinking in Spanglish. She received a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida (go gators!). She is passionate about connecting with new people, elevating stories about diversity and the outdoors, exploring national parks, traveling, eating and trying new foods, drinking (overpriced) boba tea, listening to pop music and trying but failing to learn K-pop dances.
