In this capacity, she employs her writing skills and knowledge of The Wilderness Society’s priority programs to craft compelling and strategic development communications that convey the organization’s fundraising priorities and help build the case for support.
Meredith’s passion for writing about wild places is second only to her love for being in wild places. As a youngster, she made powerful memories traveling the American West during summer vacations and was regularly allowed the freedom to roam her family’s farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Today, from her home in Greenville, South Carolina, she continues this tradition with her husband and young sons, seeking wild landscapes in the Southern Appalachians from the Carolinas to Virginia and beyond. Away from work and as often as she is able, Meredith enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, hiking, backpacking and skiing.
Meredith holds a B.A. in English from Washington and Lee University.
