Kitty serves as Strategic Initiatives Director with the Federal Policy team at The Wilderness Society. She has served in a variety of roles at TWS, from leading our conservation campaigns in the North Cascades to overseeing the Urban to Wild Initiative. In her current role, she co-creates and executes projects and initiatives aimed at advancing TWS’s strategic results and priorities, including leading TWS engagement in the America the Beautiful for All Coalition and overseeing our work to ensure the public has a voice in federal decision-making. Kitty has a long track record of facilitating community-led conservation, community engagement and collaborative efforts in Washington state.

Kitty has a B.A. from Whitman College and an M.A. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. She enjoys cooking and gardening and getting outside to hike, run, sail and ski with her husband and two children.
