Kim Stevens is the Director, Climate Policy Advocacy at The Wilderness Society based in Denver.
Kim directs The Wilderness Society’s work to rapidly phase out fossil fuel emissions on public lands while ensuring a just economic transition. Kim works with partner organizations, impacted communities and local leaders across the country to ensure public lands are a part of the climate solution. Prior to her work with The Wilderness Society, Kim worked at the Climate Reality Project, supporting clean energy standards in mountain communities across the west and before that directed Environment Colorado, a state-wide advocacy group working to protect Colorado’s environment. Kim graduated with a BS in Agricultural and Consumer Economics, concentrating in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010.
