Kate oversees the development and execution of donor communication strategies and messaging that support protection and defense of our nation’s public lands.

Kate is a 25-year leader for strategic communications that effectively move audiences to support lasting protection for our nation’s lands, waters and wildlife. She believes that emotive stories connect people with each other around their love of place and create a shared community vision. Kate has been with The Wilderness Society since 2013, building trusted, authentic relationships as the basis for powerful storytelling that dissolves differences and drives meaningful change.

Kate’s work has supported the protection of national parks and seashores, wilderness areas, wild & scenic rivers and her small childhood farm in Massachusetts. When not advocating for public lands, she’s on the tennis court herself or biting her nails while her son plays for Boise High.
