Prior to joining TWS, Jayson’s first career was mostly in the for-profit sign language interpreting industry in a variety of roles, with some non-profit and national association experience thrown in there for variety. After that, he worked at a market research company and did numerous short- and long-term subcontracting assignments for a variety of organizations and the federal government. He received a BA in Sociology from Baylor University and a Certificate in Public Relations from George Washington University. 
 
Originally from Texas and Mississippi, he's lived in DC for over 30 years. When not working, he enjoys all things movies, museums, and music, and long urban walks throughout the city and up and down Rock Creek Park. He recently sang with the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington for 4 years. Jayson is passionate about the whole foods plant-based way of eating and all the benefits for personal health, the animals, and the environment. He hopes to become an adopted doggie daddy again in the next year or so.
