Michael Carroll is the BLM Campaign Director at The Wilderness Society. He has been with The Wilderness Society since 1999.
As one of the architects of The Wilderness Society’s People Outdoors Program, Michael and his team have focused on ensuring that all people can access and share in the benefits of the outdoors from the urban to the wild. This work includes connecting urban areas to wild places, giving young people multiple opportunities to learn, play and work outdoors and supporting and promote sustainable recreation to foster life-long enjoyment and connections to the outdoors.
Michael is a graduate of The College of Idaho where he earned a degree in French. He is a life-long cyclist and continues to race mountain bikes and cyclocross in Durango, Colorado.
