Kiara serves as the Government Relations Representative focused on landscape conservation and designation. She advances legislative and administrative protections for priority lands to help achieve the goals of protecting 30% of US lands and waters by 2030 (30x30) and ensuring that all people benefit equitably from public lands.

Kiara will serve as the Government Relations Representative at TWS. She works with coalition partners and the federal government to protect land, preserve wilderness, and combat the climate crisis. A Mainer, she brings a love of the state’s craggy coastline, pristine forests, and granite-topped mountains to her work at TWS. Kiara cut her teeth in the halls of government, serving as a legislative staffer in the Massachusetts State House and in the office of Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (ME-01). She received her B.A. in Politics and American Studies from Brandeis University. An intrepid traveler, Kiara is always searching for her next adventure, but can usually be found eating and hiking her way around the DC area.
