Fifteen miles southwest of Lake City rises Handies Peak. This 14,048-ft. peak is the highest peak under the jurisdiction of the BLM outside of Alaska. A beautiful spruce-fir and tundra region, the 72,332-acre area also contains 15 miles of the Continental Divide.
