These spectacular slickrock canyons, 20 miles southeast of Grand Junction, are home to perennial streams, waterfalls, plunge pools, petroglyphs and an abundance of wildlife. This 84,452-acre area also spans an extraordinary array of ecosystems ranging from upper Sonoran piñon-juniper desert along the Gunnison River to aspen and spruce-fir forests in the higher elevations.
