Fifteen miles northeast of Glenwood Springs and just off I-70 lies an extremely rugged and remote limestone canyon. Deep Creek plunges more than 4,500 feet in just 15 miles. The canyon walls are laden with spectacular caves ready to be explored. The endangered peregrine falcon has been known to inhabit the 22,170-acre area.
