The Arkansas River cut the rugged Browns Canyon into the landscape. The river is visited frequently by boating enthusiasts, however the adjacent 24,422-acre roadless area remains remote and ripe with opportunities for solitude. Over a hundred big horn sheep inhabit this rugged wild country.
