Colorado's Community Fire Planning Zone

As you’ll see on this map of Colorado, of the roughly 4.7 million acres located in the Community Fire Planning Zone, an overwhelming majority of the land - 78% - is privately owned. Federal assistance going to the 22% of publicly owned land (Forest Service and BLM land) is clearly insufficient for the task of adequately protecting homes and communities from the threats of wildfire.
