A new outreach guide, "Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act - With Action!," is now available free of charge from the Campaign for America's Wilderness. This practical manual is filled with great ideas for celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the signing of the Wilderness Act in your community, while making a difference for wild places.

Contents include:

  • A list of special dates leading up to the 40th Anniversary and specific ideas for action;
  • Tips on how to organize and plan events to celebrate the Anniversary;
  • Step-by-step instructions for writing, calling, and meeting with elected officials;
  • Helpful suggestions for recruiting volunteers and building coalitions; and
  • Information on how to work with your local media.

This practical handbook is an excellent tool for chapter leaders, volunteers, activists, coalition partners, board members, interns, and others interested in participating in the 40th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act celebration.
