  • Caribbean National Forest Wilderness Bill Passes Senate, Heads to White House For Final Approval

  • Congressman Fortuno and Senator Clinton praised for ongoing commitment to create the nation’s first tropical national forest wilderness.
     
  • Monongahela National Forest Plan Receives Record Number of Comments in Support of Wilderness

  • A 90-day public comment period on the draft management plan for the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia has yielded more than 15,000 comments, according to the U.S. Forest Service. Conservationists are confident that thousands of people have commented in favor of protecting more wilderness on the forest.
     
  • Bighorn National Forest Plan Recommends New Wilderness

  • The Record of Decision finalizing the revised Bighorn National Forest Plan in Wyoming was signed earlier this month and will take effect in December 2005 after it is printed in the Federal Register.
